Bills of sale for slave, Carolina: 1791, 1796.

Smith Slaughter of Berkeley County, Virginia sells his male slave Carolina to James Graham on 25 April 1791 for 50 pounds. Carolina was formerly the property of Robert Throckmorton and was hired out by Slaughter to Samuel Read. Graham sold Carolina to John Dent on 4 January 1796 for 100 pounds.
